Showing off the balloon dogs they had just made earlier, Fillmore Elementary School students get into the fun Friday afternoon, celebrating the 100th day of school with a visit from Brian Getz of Brian's Balloons, Indianapolis. Getz spices his balloon animal act with jokes, puns and banter, even creating a balloon monkey hat for Fillmore kindergartener Taylor Boyce at the outset of his program in the Fillmore gym. Getz, who has a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for the widest balloon sculpture (an 88-foot dragon fly), also shared an educational message about how every day in his act he uses basic knowledge learned in elementary school. The Fillmore PTO sponsored Getz's visit.
