The Greencastle Summer Music Festival and the Inn at DePauw are hosting the second annual "Warm Winter Love" Valentine's dinner and concert on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Inn.

Folk singers Joe Peters and Linda Hicks from West Lafayette will join local favorites singer/songwriter Bobbie Lancaster, pianists Claude Cymerman and Steve Snyder, and cellist Eric Edberg in performing love-themed songs and instrumental music.

The all-inclusive price for the dinner (appetizer, salad, chicken, salmon or vegetarian pasta entree, and dessert) and concert is $50 per person or $99 per couple. (A cash bar will be available as well.) Last year's event sold out well in advance, and reservations are filling up quickly for this year.

Reservations may be made by calling the Inn at 658-1000. Deadline is 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8.

Guests will be seated at tables of 10, so persons should indicate if there are friends with whom they wish to sit.

"So many people enjoyed last year's event," said Eric Edberg, the DePauw University music professor who founded the summer music festival in 2005.

"The mission of the festival is to bring the community together with 'friends making music for friends,' and it's a special joy to provide music by some of the most outstanding musicians in Indiana so that we can have a special Valentine's evening right here in Greencastle. The chefs at the Inn outdid themselves last year, and I know they will again this time."

The Greencastle Summer Music Festival will stage its 12th season of free concerts (supported by donations) every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. from June 1 through Aug. 17 in the sanctuary of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church.
