Friday, February 5, 2016

Hope Haven's therapeutic horseback riding program will have its inaugural "Cheers to Hope Haven" beer and wine-tasting event on Friday, Feb. 12.

The 6:30-9:30 p.m. event is scheduled for the Hendricks County Fairgrounds Conference Center in Danville.

Attendees will enjoy sampling a variety of artisan beers from local breweries and wine vendors.

There will be food, live music and dancing -- along with the opportunity to bid on silent auction items.

"We'll be showcasing a few of the incredible inventions designed for us by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's Senior Capstone biomedical engineers," explained Christy Menke, Hope

Haven executive director. "These prototypes will positively impact the therapeutic riding industry as a whole."

Proceeds will provide riding lesson scholarships for Hope Haven's therapeutic clients and funding for therapy horse care.

Advance tickets are $20 per person or $35 for two tickets. Cost at the door is $25 per person.

The first 100 people through the door will receive a free commemorative glass.

For sponsorship advertising and table reservation information, persons may contact Meg Forster at 317-563-2121.
