Darlene Jackson Fordice, 83, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 at her winter residence in Peoria, Ariz.

Born Dec. 13, 1932, in Ladoga, she was the daughter of the late Lester B. and Mamie E. (Hart) Jackson.

A 1950 graduate of Russellville High School, she attended Indiana State University.

She married Maurice S. Fordice on June 24, 1951. They engaged in farming in Russell Township since that time.

She was a member of Russellville Community Church and an associate member of Community of Grace Lutheran Church in Peoria, Ariz.

She also served as a vice precinct committeeman for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice S. Fordice; children Donna Kay (Kim) Bushong of Peoria, Ariz., Judy (Mitch) Proctor, Jeff (Lou) Fordice, Dennis (Teresa) Fordice, Mark (Sandra) Fordice, all of Russellville, Jan (Keith) Jeffries of Rockville, and Marty (Diane) Fordice, also of Russellville; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Jackson Redman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at Russellville Community Church, 103 W. Third St., Russellville. The family will officiate.

Burial will follow at Russellville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 at the church.
