-- Author's Series Talk by author Michaela MacColl, 6-7:30 p.m.

PCPL announces a special visit by young adult historical fiction author MacColl who will give a talk on her book, "The Revelation of Louisa May," followed by a book signing and sale. Michaela's talk is part of DePauw School of Music's Interdisciplinary Festival.

Tuesday, Feb. 9

-- Community Help Desk, 4-7 p.m.

Tech Help Desk has a computer technician available to give one-on-one assistance using software and electronic devices, and can help diagnose and repair computers and devices.

-- Valentine's Day crafts, 4-6 p.m.

Drop in for make-and-take valentine creations. Find crafting inspiration and ideas from books in the library. For ages 3 and up.

Wednesday, Feb. 10

-- Baby Time, 10:30-11 a.m.

Sing songs, read stories, play with toys, talk, and laugh with your baby.

-- Crazy 8's Math Club, 4-6 p.m.

Crazy 8s is a new after-school math club designed to get kids fired up about math. Every week Crazy 8ers build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess ... all while bonding with new friends over math. Registration required because space is limited, so be sure to sign up early at PCPL21.org, or at the library. Grades K-2 at 4 p.m. and grades 3-5 at 5 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 11

-- Toddler Time, Thursday, 10-10:30 a.m.

Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes, move around to music and action songs, and make a craft.

-- Community Help Desk, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

-- Pre-K Prime Time, 11- 11:45 a.m.

Hear theme-based stories, sing action songs, make a craft and have a small snack.

-- Brick Club, 4-5 p.m.

Let your creative side wild with Lego challenges. Each month will be a different challenge, from storybook characters to video game characters, youth ages 4-12 are encouraged to participate in this hands-on program.

Friday, Feb 12

-- Family Quiet Time in the Imagination Portal, 9 a.m.-noon.

-- Computer Class, Computer Basics Part One, noon-2 p.m.

Three-part computer basics class is currently full but you may still register to be put on a waiting list. Introduction to Computers Part One will help understand how computers work will give you the confidence to tackle future tasks on your own. To register, go to pcpl21.org, call Mike at 653-2755 Ext. 118, or stop by the circulation or reference desks.

Saturday, Feb 13

-- Teen Advisory Board, 2-3 p.m.

All teens between the ages of 12-18, who are interested in becoming more involved in their community and library, are encouraged to drop in for snacks and to share ideas. Our goal is to promote library services to teens at the library.

-- Time Travelin' Genealogy Guild, 10 a.m.-noon.

"Kissin' Cousins" is the subject for February at Time Travelin' Genealogy Guild meetings. Find out how to determine if you are first, second, third cousins, what "once removed," twice removed, etc. means.

-- Chinese New Year celebration, 3-5 p.m.

Celebration will include history, games, crafts, prizes and authentic Chinese and Chinese-American snacks. Presented by Greencastle Parks and Recreation and DePauw's ASIA Club.
