Marc D. Monnett

Marc D. Monnett, 65, of Brazil, passed away at Harrison's Crossing on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 at 12:31 p.m.

Marc was born in Greencastle on Oct. 29, 1950 of the home of Glenn and Rosa "My My" Fuqua-Monnett.

Marc was a member of the Greencastle High School class of 1969.

He owned Monnett's Cafeteria of Cloverdale and also the Blue Bonnet of Brazil.

He retired as an officer at Putnamville Correctional Facility.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, along with fishing with his brother.

Marc is survived by his beloved sons, Jason (Rachael) Monnett of Brazil, and Benjamin (Anna) Monnett of Clermont, Fla.; his brother, Craig (Kathy) Monnett Greencastle; along with five grandchildren to which he referred to as his toad-heads: Quintin, Mariah, Jordan, Olivia and Aaron.

Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Rose Monnett of Greencastle, and his brother, Dee Monnett of Greencastle.

A celebration of life service will be held at Life Builder Community Church's Life Center, located at 703 E. Washington St., Greencastle.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. Floral and other donations can be accepted beginning 10 a.m. the day of service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
