Ronald Wayne Muncie

Ronald Wayne Muncie, 68, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil.

He was born on May 18, 1947 in Brazil to the late Owen Muncie Sr. and Mary Wright Muncie.

Ron graduated from Brazil High School in 1965, and worked as superintendent for the Brazil City Works for more than 20 years.

He married Debbie Flynn in August 2006.

He was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church.

Ron enjoyed gardening, watching NASCAR and football, mushroom hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Graverson and Eunice Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Flynn Muncie, Brazil; son Ron (Joanna) Muncie Jr. Greencastle; stepsons Gary (Marsha) Webb, Sullivan, and Tristan (Lyndsey) Webb, Jasonville; daughter Stacy (Daniel) Roberts, Brazil; stepdaughter Haley (Charlie) McLin, Brazil; brother Owen Muncie Jr., Brazil; and sisters Beatrice Head, Deloris Ray, Dixie Raab and Debbie Muncie, all of Brazil.

Also surviving are grandchildren Michael Muncie, Matthew Muncie, Marleah Muncie, Danika Roberts, Alexis Roberts, Marleigh McLin, Gavyn Webb, Dane Webb, Ethan Webb, JaLee Webb and Hannah Webb; great-granddaughter Jayda Muncie; special friends Randy and Jena Lalen and Michael (Dawn) Bemis and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Brazil Moose Lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Humane Society.
