Lucille S. Trisler

Lucille S. Trisler, 93, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016.

Born Nov. 20, 1922 in Pike County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Albert Wellon and Lora Alice (Ramey) Springer.

Lucille retired from Shearing-Plough of Memphis, Tenn., in 1985. She had previously worked at Williams Shoe Manufacturing and the Selby Shoe Co.of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Survivors include her children, Gloria Jean (Ted) Whitaker, Dennis Ray (Katherine) Trisler and Linda Diane (Darrell) Brackney; sisters Ada Eichenlaub and Virginia Crabtree; seven grandchildren, Matthew Whitaker, Michael (Amy) Whitaker, Jennifer Dusenberry, Benjamin Trisler, Amy Elizabeth Trisler, Joshua Michael (Rachel) Trisler and Dawn Michelle (Tad) Christy; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Herschel Addis and Chester J. Trisler; sisters Ruby Grooms and Beatrice Leonard; and a brother, Lester LeRoy Springer.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
