Annabelle Virginia Roe

Annabelle Virginia Roe, 92, Crawfordsville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 25 at 5:31 p.m. in Bickford Assisted Living of Crawfordsville.

She was born April 4, 1923, in Montgomery County to Ernest Lee and Inez Pearl (Coons) Delano.

She married Buford Keller Roe in Crawfordsville on July 17, 1943. He preceded her in death in 2001.

Mrs. Roe had worked for several years at R. R. Donnelley and later worked for 15 years in the New Market School cafeteria.

She was a 1941 graduate of New Market High School; a member of the Faith Baptist Church near New Market; and in her free time she enjoyed working in her garden and doing her crafts.

She is survived by her children, Tony (Susan) Roe, New Market, Kathy Davis, Ladoga, and Rodney Roe, Crawfordsville. She is also survived by her sisters, Thelma Crabtree, Brownsburg, and Lola (Leonard) Shermer, Crawfordsville; brothers Albert Delano, Avon, Jesse (Dorothy) Delano, Crawfordsville, and Loyal (Patsy) Delano, Crawfordsville; grandchildren Travis (Joana) Davis; Tricia (Aaron) Thompson; Marie (Mark) Trease; great-grandchildren Dakota and Cheyenne Davis; Will Spencer; and step-great-granddaughter Jadyn Burchett.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Chuck Roe; brothers Paul, John, Damon and Robert; sisters Kathline Neff and Doris McGlophlin; son-in-law Fred Davis; and her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1 at Faith Baptist Church, 5113 S. CR 200 W., Crawfordsville, with Pastors Tony Roe and Joe Decker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Roachdale Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Monday, Feb. 29 from 5-8 p.m.
