BECCA PILKIN of Greencastle is a member of the 2015-16 Indiana State University Eco-marathon team. Pilkin is majoring in elementary education and will graduate in May 2018.

Shell Eco-marathon challenges student teams from around the world to design, build, test and drive ultra-energy-efficient vehicles. The ISU Eco-marathon team will compete in the prototype class at Shell Eco-marathon Americas this April in Detroit.


The National Society of High School Scholars recently announced that Greencastle High School student BAILEY BERISH has been selected to become a member of the organization.

The society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment.

The announcement was made by NSHSS founder and chairman Claes Nobel, senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.


Several Greencastle students were among the 731 DePauw University students named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

The dean's list recognizes students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Greencastle students making the list include seniors CHRISTOPHER CLARK and CLOETTE ZAGER; juniors LAUREN GOOD, ANNALYSSE MASON, FREDERICK SOSTER and AMELIA WILSON-WRIGHT; sophomore LUCAS EKRICH; and freshmen ASHLYN COX and QUINCI MILLER.
