Eagle eighth-graders, seventh-graders beat Greencastle

The South Putnam eighth grade girls' basketball team defeated the Greencastle Tiger Cubs 41-14 Thursday night.

Brianna Robinson led the Eagles with 14 points. Lexi Vanihel and Aubrey Hill had eight points apiece. Alex Bratcher scored seven. Leighla Hazlett and Grayce Garner added two points each.

Greencastle's Weeks scored five to lead the Cubs. Moore scored four, Stevens added three and Ricketts had two points. The Eagles improved to 3-3 on the season.

The South Putnam seventh-grade girls' basketball team beat Greencastle Thursday night, 31-18.

The leading scorer for the Eagles was Saydee Proctor with 11 points. Chloe Custis had seven points. Ava McHugh had four points. Macie Bumgardner had three points. Brionna Egold and Gracie Nees had two points apiece. Drew Steffy and Bree Mahoney-Sutherland each had one point.

The Eagles (4-2) are back in action next Thursday night at Eminence.
