Floyd Township Volunteer Fire Department had its annual awards dinner Sunday, Feb. 21 to honor those members for outstanding performance through the 2015 year. Honored were (from left) Chief Brian Ervin; Christina Stone, "Top 3" active nember; Assistant Chief Gordon Stone; Lt. Brandi Query, Officer of the Year; Joe Standeford, "Top 3" active member; Ret. Chief Roger Wright, Service Recognition Award for achieving more than 1,000 runs with the department; Stacy Lindenmayer, EMT of the Year; Lt. Jason Haste, Firefighter of the Year; and Zachary Allbee, Most Active Member of 2015. Wright's accomplishment actually occurred in 2013 but Sunday's program was the first awards dinner since it happened and since his retirement. He is still the only Floyd Township firefighter to reach 1,000 runs. The next closest is the late Ted Salzman with 842.
