HSPC receives donation from The Inn at DePauw

Don Williams and Sandra Grimes of the Humane Society of Putnam County -- accompanied by adoptable "fur-resident" Jones -- accepted a recent donation from The Inn at DePauw representatives Karen Wittke, Lauren Smoot and Karen Weaver.

As a part of October's First Friday events, The Inn at DePauw hosted a "Paws on the Patio" fundraiser, allowing pet owners to bring their canine companions to dine on the patio and enjoy a doggy dinner.

All proceeds from the event were donated to the Humane Society of Putnam County to be used to help purchase new and safer kennel gates for the Putnam County Animal Shelter.

Jones, a resident of the shelter since October, has been patiently waiting for his forever home.

A nine-year-old Shepard/Chow mix, Jones is kid friendly and can live in a home with cats but would love to be the only dog in the house.
