With the official arrival of spring at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, it was a perfect time for the Putnam County Master Gardeners' Gardening Fair Saturday at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Featuring expert speakers talking about all kinds of gardening-related subjects, the fair included numerous vendors selling garden-related items. Moya Andrews (above), author and radio host of WFIU's "Focus on Flowers," discusses strategies for having color in the garden from earliest spring through the end of fall in a "Continuity of Color" talk. Meanwhile, Taylor Yazzie, her keychain resourcefully held between her teeth, carries in more flowers to help her grandfather, Bob Radez, replenish his Heritage Lake Storage and Garden
Supply booth at the fair.
