Indiana State Police at Putnamville have confirmed that Anderson is a Putnam County resident from the Heritage Lake area.

Around 5:45 p.m. Friday, the Clay County Sheriff's Office dispatched information alerting area officers to be on the lookout for a black Chevrolet pick-up truck with no registration plate, whose occupant had allegedly just committed a reported robbery at the First Financial Bank in Brazil.

At approximately 6:03 p.m., Indiana State Trooper James Crisp spotted a black 2003 Chevrolet pick-up eastbound on U.S. 40 from U.S. 231 in Putnam County.

Upon further investigation, Trooper Crisp was able to determine the male driver matched the description of the Brazil bank robbery suspect.

The suspect, Anderson, was quickly taken into custody.

"They made a traffic stop and were able to make an arrest and determine that was the person who committed the bank robbery," Brazil Police Department Chief Clint McQueen said.

Moments later, Clay County authorities arrived on the scene and the suspect was remanded into the custody of the Brazil Police Department which is conducting the criminal investigation.

According to police reports out of Brazil, the suspect presented a threatening note, demanding cash. There were no reports of a weapon being displayed during the robbery.
