A Vigo County teenager is facing four drug-related charges after a routine traffic stop by Greencastle City Police turned into a drug bust Wednesday evening on the city's East Side.

Items confiscated by Officer Kyle Lee during a traffic stop Wednesday evening on Indianapolis Road.

GPD Officer Kyle Lee was patrolling Indianapolis Road about 6:25 p.m. when he spotted a tan Mercury four-door about to pull out of the Speedway gasoline station at 10th Street.

Recognizing the car from a previous call, Lee pulled the vehicle over in the parking lot of Buffalo Wild Wings. There he identified the driver as Gavin Arthurs, 18, Terre Haute.

During the course of the traffic stop, Officer Lee uncovered individually wrapped bags of methamphetamine, individually wrapped bags of marijuana, a digital scale, several plastic bags commonly used for the distribution of illegal substances and multiple articles of drug paraphernalia.

Arthurs was booked into the Putnam County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, dealing in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and dealing in marijuana, pending a review of charges by the Putnam County Prosecutor.

The teenager was also cited by Officer Lee for being an operator never licensed.
