Bridge deck project to close Belle Union Road over I-70

BELLE UNION -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that a bridge deck overlay project will close Belle Union Road (County Road 825 East) over Interstate 70 for what is expected to be more than three months.

The project is scheduled to begin on or after Monday, April 4.

The roadway is scheduled to reopen on June 16.

The contractor will be overlaying the bridge deck on the bridge over I-70.

The project was awarded to American Contracting and Services for $585,867.

The INDOT contract also includes Hazelwood Road Bridge over I-70 in Morgan County. That project is scheduled for completion on July 31.
