Neese to play in All-Star game

The honors keep rolling in for Cloverdale's Cooper Neese. Two weeks after the junior led his team to a IHSAA regional berth Neese was selected by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association as one of the 18 juniors to play in the Indiana All-Star Game in June.

The junior All-Star team is split into three groups; Core group, North and South with Neese making the South squad. The junior and senior teams will play two games tentatively set for June 7 and June 9. The Junior All-Star team is determined by the 22-member Indiana Basketball Coaches Association all-state panel in conjunction with its selection of the IBCA/Subway Underclass All-State Team.

Neese was also selected to the Supreme 15 Underclass boys' team by the same coaches association. The Supreme 15 is selected regardless of school with separate teams being made for 3A-4A schools and 1A-2A schools.

Cloverdale sophomore Jalen Moore was of 16 selected to the Underclass Small School All-State team and Greencastle Ryan Coble was selected as an honorable mention on the Senior All-State team.

Neese finished third in scoring for Indiana high school basketball this seasonand Coble was fifth on the list.
