Area 30 honor society induction

Area 30 Career Center recently inducted 52 students as new members in the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and honored 11 returning inductees. NTHS is the acknowledged leader in the recognition of students who excel in Career and Technical Education (CTE). NTHS honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides scholarships to encourage the pursuit of higher education, and cultivates excellence in today's highly competitive, skilled workforce. These students were identified by demonstrating outstanding scholastic achievement, skill development, leadership, honesty, responsibility and community service. Serving nearly 200,000 members nationwide, NTHS awards more than $200,000 in scholarships to its members annually. The second-year NTHS students performed the candle-lighting ceremony and welcomed the new students in to the honor society. Area 30 Career Center NTHS students are ready to enter postsecondary education and the workforce with skills that will prepare them to be tomorrow's leaders.
