Candlelight vigil set Tuesday

Sunday, April 3, 2016

The annual candlelight vigil for Child Abuse Awareness Month is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Gobin United Methodist Church.

Besides the lighting of candles in honor of victims of child abuse and neglect, students from each county high school will be honored based on their leadership and inclusiveness.

Additionally, the event will feature talks by a local foster parent and a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) both of which are in short supply for kids in need.
