North Putnam announces kindergarten round-up dates

North Putnam Community School Corporation has announced its kindergarten round-up dates for the 2016-17 school year.

Dates are as follows:

Wednesday, April 13 -- at Roachdale Elementary, 6-7 p.m.

Thursday, April 14 -- at Bainbridge Elementary noon-5 p.m.

Parents should enroll their children at Bainbridge Elementary or Roachdale Elementary depending on where they reside.

Children should accompany their parents to round-up because they will be meeting the kindergarten teachers and learning about school.

Bainbridge will be conducting a screening at this time. Roachdale will conduct a screening at a later date this spring.

The round-up will last from an hour to an hour and a half.

Children who will be five years of age on or before Aug. 1, 2016 are eligible to enter the kindergarten class for next year.

Parents should bring the following documentation to round-up: A legal birth certificate and proof of immunizations.

Attendance at kindergarten round-up is important; however, those unable to attend should contact the respective school offices to verify their child's placement in kindergarten for 2016-17.
