DePauw School of Music Events: Week of April 11--17
Among the events next week at the School of Music is the final Green Concert of the season with Decoda -- part of the ensemble's three-day "Performance Plus" residency April 14-16. Then on Sunday, the University Chorus and Chamber Singers pool their talents with the DePauw Percussion Ensemble, professors Sarah Lee and Jeanette Pope, student environmental fellow Madeline Piscetta and several invited guests, to present an afternoon of music, imagery, and community action in celebration of our wet planet.

Green Center for the Performing Arts
Decoda's final visit of this year's residency at DePauw will culminate in collaborative, interactive performances with DePauw music students for Greencastle Middle School and "informances" around campus. Green Guest Artist Concert: Decoda

Our artists-in-residence, the New York City-based chamber ensemble Decoda, concludes its yearlong residency and our Green Guest Artist series with a celebrative Saturday night concert, featuring members of every instrument family and arrangements by Decoda musicians. Among the works on the program, inspired by Stravinsky's "A Soldier's Tale," are Wynton Marsalis's "A Fiddler's Tale" and Louis Armstrong's "Cornet Chop Suey."

The University Chorus and Chamber Singers pool their talents with the DePauw Percussion Ensemble, DePauw professors Sarah Lee and Jeanette Pope, student environmental fellow Madeline Piscetta and several invited guests, to present an evening of music, imagery, and community action in celebration of our wet planet. Audiences will hear Renaissance motet, Bach cantata, American and Caribbean folk songs, along with new pieces by living composers.
