CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale boys' golf team fell at Clover Meadows against Linton-Stockton Thursday 168-180. CHS' two lowest were Kyler Galloway and Chase Snyder who both shot a 43.

"Chase is starting to find his game again. He had a much improved round over Tuesday.," Clover coach Doug Wokoun said. "Kylar had a very good round with the exception of two holes. It is encouraging to have our seniors stepping up and setting the tone. Neither played a bad round, but both are disappointed that they let a few minor things be impediments."

Zach Nichols scored 46 and Drew Boyette shot a 48. Zarek Wellington recorded a 50.

"Zach was cruising through the first five holes and ran into some difficulties that he couldn't overcome. Drew had six very good holes, but he also had a few glitches. Zarek had two bad holes that really affected his score," Wokoun said. "We are doing a lot of things pretty well, but we have to prevent one bad shot from leading to another. It is very early, so we are taking the positives and building on those going forward."

Cloverdale (1-1) plays in the Danville Invitational Saturday at Twin Bridges.
