For its second on-campus concert of the semester, the DePauw Jazz Ensemble performs works by iconoclast jazz composer Bob Brookmeyer, Japanese pianist Toshiko Akiyoshi, and other featured artists including Chick Corea and Don Grolnick. Joining DPU jazzers on the program will be a very special guest: the Greencastle Middle School Jazz Band.

Dances of Our Time: "The Petrushka Project"

May Phang's piano studio invites you to a musical party featuring contemporary dance music by living composers from around the world. Commissioned by The Petrushka Project in 2012 in celebration of the 70th birthday of the president of Schott Music Publishing, each composition represents not only each composer's characteristic style, but may also have overt or hidden connections to the birthday theme and to Stravinsky's ballet Petrushka. Please join the studio in celebrating classical music of today, its composers, and the publishers who encourage that music-making to continue. There will be dancing and an array of special desserts.
