Daniel Wilson

Daniel Wilson was born on May 9, 1997. His parents are Paul Ramey and Tonya Wilson.

He enjoys steak (cooked medium-well) and watching How I Met Your Mother.

In addition to playing baseball for Greencastle, the senior also plays football in the fall.

His favorite subject in school is science and his favorite teacher is Samantha Burke.

Banner Graphic: What is different this year now that you are a senior?

Daniel Wilson: I was at a different school for my freshman year but I've been with Greencastle for three years now. It's so different now, you know what the routine is and you know what to look forward to -- you already know everything you need to do and not to do.

BG: What is your favorite thing about your teammates?

DW: We all get along for the most part and work well as a team. We've had eight games so far (2-6) so we're still toward the beginning -- "middle-ish."

BG: What is your favorite thing about baseball, in general?

DW: It's more of a mental sport, I mean you make errors but that doesn't mean you're going to make an error the next play. It's all about how you respond.

BG: What are some of your other activities?

DW: I do football and I used to do band -- that was sophomore year -- but then I quit because sports sort of intervened and I couldn't juggle all of it. They do it during football and even now. There are contests going on Saturdays when we have practices.

I also work at the Putnam Inn, so it's kind of hard to juggle work, school and sports. I work at the Putnam and have for three years. My parents always say 'it will look really good on your resumé' and stuff. Because (future employers) will be like, 'Oh, look you've been at one job for three years while you're in high school' -- they don't like to see you bouncing around everywhere.
