Tiger Cub golfers post win over Southmont

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Greencastle High School boys' golf team posted a 165-173 win over Southmont High School on Wednesday.

Blaise Hasty posted the best score for GHS at 40, followed by Jake Buis and Jake Bennett at 41 and Jaxon Parmley at 43.

Jonah Stevens scored 44 and Josh Bumgardner scored 63.

"We had good, consistent scoring from all five players," coach Stephen Paquin said. "We need to be able to adjust to different green speeds so that we can be more consistent in putts per round. We are very close to becoming a good team, but we are still struggling to hit good tee shots and second shots."

The Mounties' Charlie Bullerdick was medalist, with a 37.

The next match will be the Bob Arnett Invitational at Terre Haute's Rea Park on Saturday at 9:40 a.m.
