PCH slates events to raise funds, fight cancer

Putnam County Hospital has announced a number of events designed to raise money for Relay for Life, thanks to the partnership in local businesses.

PCH is working to raise awareness and funds toward the fight against cancer, hospital officials said.

The events include:

-- Lincoln Park Speedway raffle for two general season passes (valued at $500 each; excludes July 8 race).

Raffle tickets are $10 each and will be sold at the race on Saturday, April 30, the front desk at PCH during normal business hours or the day of Relay for Life.

Drawing will take place May 7 at Relay for Life (need not be present to win).

-- Eat Pizza, Fight Cancer: Monical's Pizza Day.

Event will run all day Thursday, April 28. Present coupon (available at the check-out counter at Monical's on April 28) and 20 percent of your bill will go to the Relay for Life effort.

--- Shake Off Cancer Zumbathon.

Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at Deer Meadow Primary School. Cost is $10 with a complimentary lunch to end the fun event.

-- Strike Out Cancer: Family Bowling Night.

Monday, May 2 from 4-10 p.m. at 3G Bowl. Bring your family and friends to bowl and 10 percent of the evening's profits (excluding alcohol) will go to Relay for Life.

The Relay for Life event will be Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Blackstock Stadium at DePauw University.
