Yoga at the library to begin Thursday

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

A weekly yoga session led by Colleen McCracken begins on Thursday, April 28 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Putnam County Public Library in Greencastle.

The yoga class will continue through May (and possibly longer).

The four-week yoga series is open for all levels of students. It's geared toward those newer to yoga, looking to have a safe space to explore body movement and breath awareness. No experience is necessary.\

Participants should wear comfortable, stretchable clothing and bring yoga mats, if they have them. If not, mats will be available at the library.

McCracken has been teaching vinyasa yoga since 2009. A former competitive swimmer, she is motivated by the physical benefits of yoga and also the cultivation of space being in the present.

When McCracken is not teaching yoga, she's actively involved as a health professions adviser at DePauw University.

Sessions are set for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 28, May 5, 12 and 19.
