Friday, April 29, 2016

Putnam County Public Library Technology Director Michael Acsbok will be at the Heritage Lake clubhouse on Monday, May 9 to give an overview of technology services offered by the library.

Acsbok will be at the lake clubhouse from 1-3 p.m.

The library is interested in offering computer classes and one-on-one technology assistance at the Heritage Lake clubhouse and would like to talk to residents to gauge interest. Acsbok will address the library's website, online card catalog, the library's downloadable eBook and Audiobook service, and give instructions on how to get materials delivered to Heritage Lake .

Tom Novak also will be on hand to give an overview of the Heritage Lake website.

Acsbok will also hold a Community Help Desk at the clubhouse 1-3 p.m. Friday, May 13 to diagnose and help repair computers and electronics. The Community Help Desk is first-come, first-served and is free and open to the public. If your computer problem is severe enough, or would take longer than 30 minutes to fix, the library recommends it be taken to a professional.

Patrons must accompany their computers or electronics at all times, so no drop-offs. Patrons may bring in laptops, desktop towers, tablets, cell phones, anything electronic. Any power cables should be brought along.
