Vittetow headed to track finals

South Putnam grad Klayton Vittetow of Vincennes University will compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association national meet next week in the 400-meter hurdles.

South Putnam graduate Klayton Vittetow, a second-year member of the Vincennes University men's track and field team, will compete in the NJCAA national meet next week in the 400-meter hurdles.

The meet is held May 17-19 in Levelland, Texas. Vittetow, a 2014 South Putnam High School graduate, is VU's sole 400-meter hurdler and had several season highlights this spring.

He placed eighth in the Knight Invitational, seventh in the Little State Championships, second in the Bellarmine Classic and first in the NJCAA Regions 12 Championships held last week at Vincennes University.

Vittetow has graduated from Vincennes with an associate degree in general studies.
