Kids Count Summer Camp now accepting registrations

Kids Count Summer Camp, taking place Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17 at Heritage Lake is now taking registrations for campers.

The Kids Count camp uses fun and crafts to teach the Kids of Putnam County how to live their life in the best way possible.

Theme of the camp this year is "Live Life Big -- Share Forward."

The camp accepts students who have finished grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Each child will be placed in a group consisting or other campers of their age group, and they will use teamwork and fun to learn how to apply the camp theme to their life.

Camper activities include reading, science, music, games and crafts, Indianapolis Colts Play 60 will visit to work with the older children.

Cindy Huddleston, the camp director is a retired school teacher who has having taught Special Education and Physical Education. Medical personnel will be on hand for first aid needs.

A $10 registration fee is required to offset the cost of the camp. This fee can be waived, at the discretion Cindy Huddleston. Registration deadline is May 28.
