Buying property featured as topic for May 26 program

Are you thinking about buying a house or farm? Are you curious about all the lingo related to buying real property and having a loan? If so, then the Buyer Beware: The Ins and Outs of Buying Property program is for you.

The May 26 program will feature lenders and realtors providing firsthand knowledge about the ins and outs of buying property. Representatives will be present who work with residential and farm lending and selling property. By participating in this program, you will find out answers to questions like:

* What is a credit score?

* How does a loan work?

* What can a realtor do for you?

* What advice can a realtor/lender give to someone wanting to buy a farm?

* And much more.

The Buyer Beware: The Ins and Outs of Buying Real Estate program will be offered 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 26 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building (191 N. U.S. 231, Greencastle).

The program is free and open to the public, however registration is required by May 19.
