City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to two dispatches.

* At 5:05 p.m. on Friday, the Greencastle Police Department performed a mutual-aid run with Fillmore Fire at 6351 E. County Road 50 South in what was originally thought to be a box alarm. No fire was visible upon arrival but a fan motor was found to be running hot. GFD cleared the scene and returned to station at 6:25 p.m.

* At 9:08 a.m. on Sunday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 309 Medic Way. A malfunctioning detector head was found to be the cause of the alarm. GFD reset the alarm and returned to station at 9:50 a.m.
