EVANSVILLE -- Old National Bancorp has announced changes to its Executive Leadership Group, including the appointment of former Greencastle resident Jim Sandgren as president.

Jim Sandgren

Sandgren, a 1988 DePauw University graduate, stayed in Greencastle after graduation to work for First Citizens Bank/Old National.

Greencastle residents may also remember him as a basketball star at DePauw or for hitting prodigious drives at Windy Hill Country Club.

Formerly chief banking officer for Old National Bancorp, Sandgren has been appointed president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.

In his new role, Sandgren will continue to manage the banking division along with Wealth Management and Investments, assuming responsibility for the majority of revenue areas within the company.

"As Chief Banking Officer, Jim has instilled an energy, focus and spirit of collaboration throughout the company that has inspired record production," Old National Chairman and CEO Bob Jones praised. "I am confident that he will continue this highly collaborative and exceptionally effective leadership style in his new role."

Other changes include:

* Jim Ryan becoming senior executive vice president, chief financial officer.

* Chris Wolking named senior executive vice president, capital markets and specialty products.

* Daryl Moore named senior executive vice president, chief credit executive.

* Scott Evernham appointed executive vice president, Old National wealth management.
