James Allen Bryan

James Allen Bryan, of Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at his home. He was 74.

Born Oct. 18, 1941 at Fillmore, he was the son of Maurice and Lena (Miller) Bryan.

He graduated from Fillmore High School before serving in the United States Marines.

On May 29, 1969 he married Kay Pearson at Darlington. She preceded him in death on Sept. 3, 2015.

For more than 30 years he was a manufacturing supervisor at R.R. Donnelley & Sons.

He was a member of the American Legion, was highly involved in 4-H and enjoyed horses, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving family members include his daughters, Amy Leigh (Scot) Endicott of Crawfordsville, Angela (Jeremy) Rotert of Heritage Lake, and Andra (Jay) Meyers of Noblesville; sisters Anna (Norman) Wood of Greencastle and Martha Lou (Doyne) Priest of Greencastle; brothers Clark (Bonnie) Bryan of Greencastle and Sid (Mary) Bryan of Danville; grandchildren Lindsey and Logan Endicott, Sydney and Max Rotert and Delaney and Claire Meyers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating.

Burial with military rites will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday, June 5 at the funeral home.
