Gov. Mike Pence recently appointed JACQUELYN EITEL of Greencastle to the Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board.

The three-year term is set to run through May 31, 2019.

Graduates of Trine University's School of Professional Studies were among 500 students who took part in commencement ceremonies on May 7 in the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Inc. Athletic and Recreation Center at Trine University's main campus in Angola, Indiana.

Local students who earned their Trine degrees included:

* KATHERINE HORN of Greencastle, who graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Applied Management.

Magna cum laude is awarded to students with an average GPA of 3.75 or higher with at least 40 semester hours earned at Trine.

In addition to graduating with high honors, Horn and Phillips were also both named to president's list for the spring semester in the School of Professional Studies. In order to be named to the list, a student must maintain at least 12 credit hours and have a minimum GPA of 3.75.
