Community garden plots available at PCH

Sunday, June 5, 2016

Putnam County Hospital, in partnership with the Greencastle Sustainability Commission, now has six 15-by-30 foot garden plots available for community use.

Located in the open field behind the hospital, these plots offer an alternative for those wishing to have a larger plot for growing.

Persons interested should contact Paul Sanders at Putnam County Hospital at 655-2614.

The Community Garden at the hospital is open from dawn until dusk every day during the growing season.

Water access is available and plot owners are responsible for maintenance throughout the season.

Clean-up of all garden plots must be done by Nov. 30.

The City of Greencastle Community Garden also has smaller plots available located on Franklin Street, two lots down from the Beyond Homeless shelter.

The fee for each garden plot is $10.

Applications and more information are available at Greencastle City Hall.
