County grads chosen for WVFCA game

Eleven players and one coach from Putnam County will be participating in the Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association's 12th annual All-Star Game on June 25 at Terre Haute North at 7:30 p.m.

Greeencastle will be represented by Anthony Rossok and Chase Chew, while North Putnam grads Brayden White, Bobby Scheele, Brad Hodges, Daniel Huffman and Bailey Allen will also be competing.

South Putnam will have the largest local representation, with coach Nathan Aker serving as an assistant for the Black Division squad. On his roster will be former Eagles Joe Masters, Brandon Gierke, Daniel Grundlock, Jimmy Rutter, Will Cruse and Matt Schnepp.

Head coaches for this year's game are Mark Raetz of Northview for the Black Division squad and Brian Oliver from Linton-Stockton handling the Gold Division squad.

The teams are made up from players from 33 Wabash Valley high schools.

Practices will start June 19 at 10 a.m. at ISU's Memorial Stadium. A banquet for the players and their guest is June 24 at ISU's Hulman Center.
