Putnam Scanner for 6-11-16

County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

* At 11:35 a.m. Stanley Dennison, 46, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

* At 9:26 a.m. Ashley Nicole Osborne, 35, Monrovia, was taken into custody on a warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department recently responded to five dispatches and four medical runs.

* At 5:47 p.m. on Tuesday, GFD responded to an unauthorized burn at 612 Apple St. GFD advised the resident of burning within city limits and returned to station at 6:09 p.m.

* At 9:42 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 107 W. Hanna St. GFD was unable to determined the cause of the alarm, subsequently reseting said-alarm and returning to station at 9:52 p.m.

* At 6:48 a.m. on Friday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 410 S. Indiana St. but was disregarded before leaving station.

* At 7:23 a.m. on Friday, GFD responded to reports of a fire in a dust-collection unit outside Crown Equipment Co. GFD made sure there were no flames present before returning to station at 7:52 a.m.

* At 9:28 a.m. on Friday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 100 N. Jackson St. (The Banner Graphic newspaper office) but was unable to determine the cause of the alarm. GFD subsequently returned to station at 9:47 a.m.
