Mary M. Luke

Mary M. Luke, 99, of Greencastle, formerly of Crawfordsville, died on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencastle.

She was born on Aug. 19, 1916 in Walton, Ind., the daughter of William and Gertrude Rhodes Kessling.

Mary married Rev. PJ Hamilton on June 18, 1939 and he preceded her in death in January 1993.

She then married Dr. Thomas Luke in Aug. 1993 and he also preceded her in death.

Mary was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mary are daughters Myra Smith of Byron, Ill., and Elaine Sims of Greencastle; sister Elizabeth Busteed; six grandchildren, Christina Marquez, Sandra Lenth, Wendi Smith, Travis Sims, John Sims and Rio Guillame; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by daughter Judith Pryor and sister Opal Bishop

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery North.
