County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

* At 6:57 p.m. Jordan Elliott Hill, 22, Lansing, Mich., was housed at the jail for possession of marijuana and resisting law enforcement.

* At 7:27 p.m. Arron Carlos Finott, 35, Evansville, was booked in for possession of marijuana.

City Police

A 33-year-old Greencastle man was arrested early Friday on a charge of residential entry, City Police reported.

* At 1:14 a.m. Friday, Rickey Golden Jr. was reportedly arrested at his Green Street residence.

He is being held at the Putnam County Jail on the residential entry charge in regard to a Crown Street residence.

Although Golden reportedly entered that home, nothing was apparently taken, police said.

* At 9:09 p.m. Thursday, Misty Crumpacker, 37, Greencastle, was stopped by Officer Brad Hiatt for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

Crumpacker, who was stopped on Arlington Street at Highwood Avenue, was also cited for having an expired license plate (Feb. 21, 2016).

One recent traffic accident was reported by Greencastle officers.

* At 1:49 p.m. Thursday, a two-vehicle mishap was reported on Indianapolis Road at the west entrance to the Walmart store.

Geraldine Barcus, 90, Greencastle, was eastbound on Indianapolis Road, driving a 2014 Buick Varano, when a 2008 Jeep Patriot, driven by Steven Dehoff, 63, Coatesville, reportedly pulled out in front of her from the Walmart exit.

Dehoff told Officer Nick Eastham that he was attempting to turn right to go east on Indianapolis Road and believed the Barcus car was signaling to turn into Walmart.

Total damage was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.

Two other citations were issued recently by city officers.

* At 10:03 a.m. Thursday, Dylan Romandine, 20, Greencastle, was cited for speeding by Officer Eastham.

Stopped on Fillmore Road, Romandine was ticketed for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone.

* At 1:17 a.m. Wednesday, Samantha Newcomer, 19, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Zach Rhine.

Stopped at Arlington and Seminary streets, Newcomer was cited for an expired plate.
