Ruth B. Sargent

Ruth B. Sargent, 86, of Plainfield, passed away at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born Jan. 9, 1930 in Ridgway, Ontario. She was the daughter of the late Percy O. and Ruth E. (Baxter) Jansen.

She married Fred M. Sargent on Feb. 1, 1975, and he preceded her in death March 14, 2016.

She is survived by her daughters, Martha Hutcheson and husband Ralph, and Lori Collins and partner Mary Bazan; sons, Jeffrey Webb and wife Ilen, and Jeffrey Sargent; grandchild Sara Wiley and husband Craig; great grandchildren Reese and Gray Wiley, and nephew, Jeff Sargent and wife Natalie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Plainfield United Methodist Church, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time.
