County Jail

Several people have been booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 3:39 p.m. on Monday, Jessica Marie Holsapple, 40, Cloverdale, was housed at the jail on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

At 11:15 a.m. Adam Michael Perkins, 28, Zionsville, was booked in on a warrant for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

* At 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, Athena Rae Doane-Siddons, 32, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for disorderly conduct and criminal recklessness.

At 7:41 p.m. Brandy Dee Lientz, 39, Quincy, was arrested on a warrant.

At 8:38 a.m. Brittaney Ann Thacker, 31, Greencastle, was taken into custody for resisting law enforcement, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.

At 4:15 a.m. Robert Ellis Reid, 52, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

* At 9:11 p.m. on Saturday, Tommy D. Billings, 32, Greencastle, was booked in on a warrant.

At 7:25 p.m. Cody Nathaniel Tingler, 21, Beech Grove, was charged with invasion of privacy.

At 4:50 p.m. Mary Eillen Strange, 32, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a warrant.

At 3:59 p.m. Guy Houston Parrish, 28, Greencastle, was arrested for probation violation.

At 1:06 a.m. Aaron William Pena, 30, Greencastle, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.

* At 6:26 p.m. on Friday, Gary D. King, 50, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a warrant.

At 6:24 p.m. James Allen Lewis, 37, Veedersburg, was booked in on a warrant.

At 3:53 p.m. Michael Kent Hanlon, 54, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail on a warrant for battery with a deadly weapon and residential entry.

At 1:18 p.m. Cory Michael Walker, 27, Cookeville, Tenn., was taken into custody on a writ of body attachment.

City Police

A 31-year-old Greencastle woman was arrested Monday morning on auto theft charges, Greencastle City Police reported.

* At 3:36 a.m., Jennifer Keller was arrested by Officer Zach Rhine at the Mini-Mart on North Jackson Street in Greencastle.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Keller is alleged to have taken a 2011 Jeep Wrangler without the consent of the owner, Josh Sutherlin, Greencastle.

* At 9:19 p.m. Friday, Meagan Anderson, 24, Quincy, was arrested by Capt. Charles Inman following a traffic stop on Veterans Memorial Highway at Tennessee Street.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Anderson is facing charges of possession of a syringe, possession of a controlled substance and reckless possession of paraphernalia.

One recent citation was issued by city officers.

* At 3:36 a.m. Tuesday, Max Holt, 30, Bainbridge, was cited by Officer Brad Hiatt.

Stopped on Indianapolis Road, Holt was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Sheriff's Department

Putnam County sheriff's deputies investigated three recent property-damage crashes.

* At 3:40 a.m. on Monday, Virginia R. Swearingen, 68, Brazil, was westbound on U.S. 40 just east of County Road 620 West in a 2002 Pontiac Montana when she hit a deer.

Deputy Riley Houghton estimated damage at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, Megan N. Sheppard, 24, Lizton, was eastbound on U.S. 40 east of U.S. 231 in a 2011 Buick LaCrosse.

Sheppard told Deputy Jacob Harrington she was attempting to avoid hitting a cat. The car left the south side of the road and entered an ditch before re-entering the road, crossing the eastbound lanes and coming to rest in the median.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Riley D. Boswell, 21, Greencastle, was eastbound on County Road 50 North approaching County Road 300 East in a 2011 Buick Regal.

Boswell told Deputy Elizabeth Campbell a portion of a tree branch fell on his windshield as he passed under a tree.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.

Campbell was assisted at the scene by Deputy Matt Biggs.

* At 3:56 p.m. on Friday, Rebekah L. Kelly, 20, Greencastle, was southbound on U.S. 231, approximately 2,000 feet north of U.S. 40 in a 2005 Dodge Caravan.

Cameron R. Kempher, 32, Fishers, was also southbound in a 2006 Mazda 6.

Kelly told Deputy Jeffrey Freeman she began to slow for traffic in front of her when she was rear-ended by Kempher's vehicle.

Kempher said he could not avoid the collision due to Kelly stopping suddenly.

The collision caused disabling damage to Kelly's car.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000. Freeman was assisted at the scene by Capt. Danny Wallace and Deputy Virgil Lanning.

* At 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, Jameson T. Anderson, 18, Greencastle, was westbound on Rangeline Road from County Road 25 South in a 1995 Dodge Intrepid.

Anderson told Deputy Houghton he came around the curve too fast and left the road.

The car had to be pulled from the ditch by a wrecker but Anderson was able to continue to his destination.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 10:34 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, Thomas W. Greenburg, 51, Terre Haute, attempted to make a left turn onto northbound County Road 445 West from U.S. 40 in a 2002 Toyota 4Runner.

Greenburg told Deputy Scott Ducker as he made the turn he lost control, steering into the left lane of 445 West. He collided with the driver's side of a 2012 Buick Enclave.

The driver of the Buick, Arthur M. Sandlin, 71, Williston, Fla., said he was stationary at the intersection when Greenburg rounded the turn and collided with his vehicle.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
