BRAZIL -- The Brazil Concert Band presents "Hoosier Band: Marching Down Broadway" Sunday June 26, starting at 8 p.m., rain or shine in Forest Park.

The Brazil Band and Director Matthew S. Huber will continue the Indiana Bicentennial with "Super Service" written by Brazil native J. Gus Davis, honoring all his musicians and "Abraham Lincoln March" by Edwin Franko Goldman who spent time in Terre Haute as a child.

Members of the Brazil Concert Band played for the Lincoln-Douglas Debates in 1858. Lincoln lived 14 years of his life in southern Indiana.

New to the BCB is the stately "God Of Our Fathers" in a setting by Thomas Knox.

Indiana March King Fred Jewell wrote "March To Mecca" during his years with the circus.

From Broadway, the BCB will perform overtures from "Man of La Mancha" by Lee, "Cabaret" by Kander and "Funny Girl" by Styne.

Also on the play list is "Mancini Magic" by Brubaker, "Kentucky Sunrise" by King and held over from last week "Mars" by Holst.
