Elks Scholars

Greencastle Elks Lodge 1077 recently awarded three annual scholarships. Winners of the $800 individual scholarships were Connor Ganly and Chelsea Jones, while Ellen Gobert won the $1,000 Bob Berry Award. The presentations were made by Elks Exalted Ruler Don Owen and Elks member Scott Dismukes. The Elks National Foundation has provided more than $3.64 million in college scholarships each year through its three scholarship programs. The application process and deadlines vary for each program and all applications must go through the local Elks Lodge before reaching the Elks National Foundation office. The scholars accepted the awards surrounded by their parents and grandparents.
