Soul Harvest Church expands

CLOVERDALE -- Soul Harvest Church has announced the beginning of a three-phase building project. The church has outgrown its existing facilities and currently conducts three services each Sunday to accommodate the growing congregation.

Excavation is under way for a 20,000-square foot addition that will house a 585-seat sanctuary, a fully-functional café, modern nurseries, spacious classrooms for children and teens, new bathrooms, a media production studio and a lighted, asphalt parking lot.

Phase one is scheduled to be completed by April 2017.

Phase two will include remodeling the church's existing 2,500-square foot foyer into offices, work areas and a conference room. Phase three will include finishing the balcony to add an extra 245 seats, bringing the total seating to 830 seats. Phase two will be completed by summer 2017 and phase three will be completed as needed.

Soul Harvest Church started in a cornfield 14 years ago about eight miles east of Cloverdale. It moved into Cloverdale in 2011 by purchasing a repossessed funeral home and converting it into a church.

The church doubled in size the first Sunday in the new building and has grown steadily ever since. The church draws from more than eight counties in west-central Indiana and reaches thousands all over the world online each month. The church is heavily involved in local and world outreaches.

Anyone wishing to obtain information on the church can visit www.shc4me.org. All are welcome to visit any of the church's inspirational, contemporary Sunday services at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 7 p.m.
