Bridge project to close Raab Road over I-70

REELSVILLE -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces a bridge deck overlay project on Raab Road, or Putnam County Road 775 West, over Interstate 70 will close the roadway on or after Monday, July 25.

The contractor will be overlaying the bridge deck over the interstate in Washington Township, southwest of Reelsville

The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Sept. 8.

The detour utilizes CR 500 South to CR 900 West to CR 1200 South and back, traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.

The $882,158 project was awarded to CLR Inc. The contract also includes several bridges over I-70 in Putnam, Clay, Hendricks and Morgan counties.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
