Elizabeth Clarkson Snipes

Elizabeth Clarkson Snipes passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016.

She attended the International School in Brussels, Belgium, and graduated from St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Boca Raton, Fla.

She was a 1985 graduate of Randolph Macon College.

She is survived by her husband, George William Snipes, of Columbus, Ga.; her children, James Randall Askew Junior, Tyler Lawrence Askew and Isabella Grace Snipes; her parents, Larry and Barbara Clarkson of Marietta, Ga.; her sister, Jennifer Clarkson Soster and brother-in-law Fred Soster of Greencastle; and niece Erica Lynn Soster and nephew Frederick Lawrence Soster.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Warren Clarkson; fraternal grandparents Harold and Jean Clarkson; and maternal grandparents Charles and Dorothy Stevenson.

After graduation she held positions in banking before joining the Boeing Co. as a senior procurement manager. She left Boeing to start her family. She then dedicated her life to caring for her children.

Calling hours are 2 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, Marietta, on 161 Church Street NW on Thursday, July 21.

A celebration of her life will follow at St. James Episcopal Church, Marietta, at 3 p.m. on July 21 with a reception following the service.
