Barns of Indiana Art

Tuesday, July 19, 2016
Banner Graphic/ERIC BERNSEE Barns from all 92 Indiana counties, including three from Putnam County being observed (above) by Mary Zerkel, are on display through Aug. 1 at the Richard E. Peeler Art Center at DePauw University. The local barns are the Prosser brick horse barn (at left above) on U.S. 40, the Torr family barn near the Oakalla Bridge in Madison Township and the Marvin Evens Trust barn overlooking Big Walnut Creek. Meanwhile, admiring another barn painting are local artists Barbara Bates (below) and Barbara Fuson. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
