Robert 'Kevin' Parker

Robert "Kevin" Parker, 56, of Roachdale, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born on Aug. 27, 1959 in Greencastle to the late Max and Shirley (Garr) Parker. He married Connie (Long) Parker on Nov. 4, 2005 in Greencastle. She survives.

Kevin attended North Putnam High School and then took classes at Purdue University. He enjoyed volunteering at the VFW and was a member of the Roachdale VFW Auxiliary.

He worked for the Indiana State Highway Department for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with friends and family and loved to have a good time.

He is survived by his daughter PJ (Tony) Detro of Bainbridge; stepchildren Zach Rooker of Broad Ripple and Katie (Braxton) Bragg of Bloomingdale; six grandchildren Parker, Tori, Danielle, Jacinda, Cheyenne and Ricky; and great-granddaughter Satie; siblings Steve (Jewell) Parker of Tennessee, Kathy (Jim) Cromwell of Roachdale and Lori Cating of Ladoga; and several nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Richie Parker.

Due to Kevin's wishes the family has chosen cremation and there will be no services at this time.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
